Yao Bengang was born in the City of Exquisite Beauty and Skill—the ancestral home of the Miao King—Shichang, Songtao Miao Autonomous County, Guizhou Province, China. He is the seventh-generation inheritor of Miao orthopedic medicine and was recognized as a Master of Miao Orthopedic Medicine in 2021.

Growing up immersed in Miao medicine and culture, he studied Miao herbal medicine under his grandfather. In 1983, he enrolled in Bijie Health School to systematically study modern medicine. After graduation, he has been working at the Songtao Miao Autonomous County Disease Control Center to this day, dedicating nearly 40 years to Miao medicine research. He has traveled to over 30 provinces, including Beijing, Shanghai, and Chongqing, to exchange knowledge and integrate the strengths of various schools into his practice. His family-inherited Miao orthopedic techniques are particularly unique, safe, and reliable, offering immediate results for conditions such as cervical and lumbar disc herniation, uneven shoulders, leg length discrepancies, postpartum pelvic tilt (anterior or posterior), and scoliosis. This makes him a standout figure in Guizhou’s Miao medicine. In 2022, he was interviewed for a series documentary on CCTV4’s Chinese International Channel program *Remarkable Chinese Medicine*.

He exclusively inherited the unique formula of the "Medicine King." In 2011, collaborating with staff from the Miao Medicine Research Institute, he utilized modern high-tech refinement techniques to develop the Guizhou Acne King product series, which was tested by national authoritative inspection agencies and achieved the national first-class quality standard. He established the Duoruo Miao Medicine brand, developing various Miao medicine products such as "Guizhou Acne King," "Miao Orthopedic Bone Liquid," and "Rheumatism Pain Relief." Many citizens suffering from cervical and lumbar conditions have sought him out by reputation.
